The Company was formed in 1880 and was originally a part of H. F. Higgs at Herne Hill.
The Company moved to Priory Works, Merton in 1973 at which time the Mechanical Building Services section was established as Priory Mechanical Services Ltd.
In 1979 we purchased the share capital of P and R Fenton (Croydon) Ltd and moved into our current operating premises in Croydon. The company name was changed to Priory Environmental Services Ltd in 1985 and we began specialising in Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Electrical Installations and Maintenance Contracts. In 1994 BK Limited purchased Priory Mechanical Services whilst retaining the operating name of the company.
We are now a family business and pride ourselves in our established background and proven record in building services.
We execute projects of various sizes ranging from small customised schemes up to large, complex multi-disciplined contracts. Irrespective of size all projects receive the same careful attention in order to meet the needs of customers. The Company Directors have an active involvement with each new project and we aim to provide an individualised service that meets the customer specification.
We have built up strong working relationship with many high quality specialist sub-contractors who can be called upon when the need arises. This expertise is invaluable in today’s hi-tech and sophisticated building services industry.
We pride ourselves on the expertise of our workforce and many of our skilled staff have been trained through our own rigorous apprenticeship schemes. We also seek to retain and develop our staff and many as a result hold positions of authority from which their invaluable skills are passed onto new recruits.
In recent years the company has moved towards design/build solutions. We have now developed a design section where we can offer a one stop shop for the design and build of all aspects of building services. If you would like to view some of our work in the Project section of the website you will find that design/build solutions are now a large portion of our activity.
